ECCE MEA a brand name owned by Reis & Reis Consulting, Lda, terms and conditions, and any information contained in the pages on the Website or any other documents referred in this document ("T&Cs") are the legal terms applied on your use of our Website https://www.eccemea.com.
The same conditions apply to any sub-domains and other Websites, mobile device applications or desktop applications developed by us or on our behalf.
Please read these Terms and Conditions carefully and make sure that you understand them before using our Website. Please note that by using our Website, you agree with our T&C. If you do not accept these T&C, you should not use our website and leave. To continue the use of the Website or if you purchase any, personalize or non-personalize products, you are accepting all ECCE MEA Terms and Conditions.
ECCE MEA Terms and Conditions are only available in English and Portuguese. We suggest that you print or save a copy of these Terms and Conditions for future reference.

1 - ABOUT US
Website operator "we," "us" or "our," we mean ECCE MEA. User, we refer to "you" or "your" we mean you, the person using the website. When used the name ECCE MEA or ECCE MEA Group it means Reis & Reis Consulting, Lda.
The use of this Website, which is owned by Reis & Reis Consulting, Lda. managing the ECCE MEA brand, Portugal (VAT Number: PT 514317060), which provides a website to personalize products throughout a 3D interface and other features such as, an online store, product personalization and customization, and subject to the following legal terms:
1.1 Copyright and all other intellectual property rights, in both the content of this Website, trademarks, names, registered and unregistered logos, Trademarks owned by Reis & Reis Consulting Lda. all rights reserved.
1.2 Content included on the Website may be accessed by you for non-commercial use only. You may not copy any content, software, product designs, obtained from this Website. You may not commercially exploit or otherwise use our trademark and branded product designs.
1.3 Unless authorized in writing by Reis & Reis Consulting, ECCE MEA, expressly prohibits linking this Website, or parts of it, to or from any other Websites.

2 - BUYING ON ECCE MEA WEBSITE
2.1 ECCE MEA website whether you used it for purchasing or just for product design and browsing, has some rules that apply. By using the website, you agree to those rules. If you do not follow these rules, you are not permitted to use the Website, and you should leave.
2.2 You have free access to the Website. You are responsible that any individual who accesses the Website through your internet connection respect and are aware of these Terms and Conditions.
2.3 Due to the nature of our personalized products, you agree to pay independently of the non-stock existence of the product. Products depend on craftsmanship availability as well as material availability.
2.4 ECCE MEA as a limited number of daily production and your personalized product purchase may go on the queue line.
2.5 Queue purchase products are paid goods that will be produced as soon as craftsmanship is available.
2.6 You are communicating via online when you visit our Website and make a purchase, and you agree with all our terms and conditions, policies, disclaimers and any information that we send to you electronically.
2.7 To buy any product on our website you need to create an account providing us personal information. Refer to “Privacy Policy” for more details.
2.8 The website may be unavailable, and we reserve the right to backup, modify, amend, adjust, transform, and revise from time to time without notice.
2.9 When making a purchase you are bound to a contract to ECCE MEA.

3 - PERSONALIZATION
3.1 ECCE MEA offers a 3D graphics platform personalization where you can create and personalize shoes, handbags, and belts. There are a few hundred thousand possible combinations, therefore physically impossible to ECCE MEA to manufacture all real products for you to see. You can rely on our 3D renders that closely match the real skins and leathers used. The color reality depends on your screen color calibration, the device you are using and the software.
3.2 You agree that you accept this tool to create your desired products, any slight difference in color or final details on the purchased product, cannot be seen as a faulty product.
3.3 You accept, given the tailored nature of the service, payment will be taken in full on the act of purchase, but the delivery of the product will be between 4 to 8 weeks of the acquisition confirmation. Subject to the availability of materials ECCE MEA reserves the right to change the delivery time as necessary.
3.4 ECCE MEA may refuse any personalization of initials and names that may result in an offensive word, in any language, at its discretion.
3.5 ECCE MEA is responsible for the delivery of all personalized products.
3.6 Exotic skins used always comply with jurisdictional laws; as the Customer, you are responsible for ensuring that the requested exotic skins or leathers can be shipped to your respective region/address. Please refer to https://www.cites.org/ for more information.
3.7 Once your purchase has been placed, due to its tailored nature, we are unable to cancel or amend your acquisition, and you recognize and accept we shall not be liable to refund any direct or indirect costs borne by the customer change of mind, including purchase price, delivery costs, and taxes.
3.8 Requests to the queue list acquisitions are only possible obtaining full payment. After 72h of purchase, your product is approved to be manufactured, and ECCE MEA shall not be liable to refund any direct or indirect costs borne by the customer, including purchase price, delivery costs, and taxes. Any cancelation after a product is approved will result in a 100% charge of the total acquisition value, and a new purchase, for a new product, will need to be placed.
3.9 Please be conscious that the 3D viewed is an almost perfect representation of how your customized item should look and there may be slight color/material variations in the actual product you receive. Fabric colors and materials may vary depending on customer screen color calibration. Reis & Reis Consulting Lda. is not liable for any responsibility, for any variations in color and texture, and will not accept exchanges on this basis.
3.10 ECCE MEA reserves all of its intellectual property rights in the designs of its customized products. The design, as defined by the purchase email confirmation, is not unique to the customer, except Auction products. Please refer to Auction to more information.
3.11 These terms and conditions are subject to alterations at any time without prior warning.

4 - PRODUCTS
4.1 The products sold by ECCE MEA are protected by a trademark and to be used for domestic and private use only. ECCE MEA products cannot be used for any commercial, business or re-sale purposes, export or reexport, to countries or territories target with embargoes or sanctions, are prohibited.
4.2 All ECCE MEA products carry a 14k gold plaque with a real diamond and discriminating our trademark.
4.3 All our exotic skin products are provided by overpopulated species with the right CITES* certification necessary to send products worldwide.
* CITES (Convention on International Trade in Endangered Species of Wild Fauna and Flora) is an international agreement between governments, to ensure that it does not threaten exotic animals’ survival.
4.4 Our products are handmade with highly expert craftsmanship, but insignificant minor flaws may occur, and this cannot be seen as a faulty product, and it is a sign of a genuine article.
4.5 There are thousands of possible combinations. An image of your created product will be available on the act of purchase. When buying the product, you are agreeing with the manufacturing and the accepting of all our terms and conditions.
5 - PRICING POLICY
5.1 Customers will be charged in USD or EUR depending on which region their shipping country is. Payment methods for customers not denominated in these currencies, the final price paid depends on your IP address location that determines what currency is used and the exchange rate of the day designated by the bank.
5.2 ECCE MEA is committed to fair and transparent pricing, and we are not obligated to issue any form of a refund. However, we may consider the advantages of each status.
5.3 Voucher card codes are non-transferable. We do not convert voucher cards into cash or any other alternative besides the proposed for use. ECCE MEA reserves the right of the conditions of use to any discount code provided.
5.4 As we are a company based in Portugal, any transactions placed outside of Portugal may appear as international. Your payment method may be subjected to a bank fee and as this is a bank charge we regret, but we are unable to influence this. Please note these fees are non-refundable by ECCE MEA.
5.5 Requests to amend the purchase, when applicable, are only possible within 72 hours of order payment. Any amendments after that will result in a canceled purchase and, no refund or resize is applicable.
5.6 The steps you need to take to place a purchase are explained in the "How do I buy a Product" section of our information and Help menu.
5.7 By completing the checkout process and placing a purchase by clicking the "Safe Buy" button on the checkout page, you are accepting to purchase the products you created. Your products purchased are subject to all Terms and Conditions incorporated into this contract between you and us as the final price.
5.8 All purchases are subject to leather and craftmanship availability and only paid and confirmed purchases are determined to be produced. Legal title to the product purchased will pass to you upon your payment being accepted.

6 - PAYMENT POLICY
6.1 Please read these T&Cs carefully before purchasing any Products on this website. By purchasing any of our Products on this website, you agree to be bound by these T&Cs including the Privacy Policy.
6.2 By completing the checkout process, you are buying a product by clicking the "Checkout" button on the shopping cart page. A purchased product is considered upon your accepted payment.
6.3 To buy products, you must be over 18 years of age and possess a valid credit or debit card. Finishing a purchase, you are promising that all the details you provided are true and accurate, that you are over 18 years of age, and that you are an authorized user of the credit or debit card used to place your purchase.
6.4 The Website allows you to check your purchase and correct any errors before completing a purchase. Please take the time to read and review your purchase at each page of the purchase process as you are responsible for ensuring that the information you provide is accurate (for example, the correct products, quantities, size, color, all detailed features).

7 - DELIVERY
7.1 Carriers are used to deliver ECCE MEA products to a global network of countries.
7.2 ECCE MEA products are sent on a DDP (Delivery Duty Paid) and DDU (Delivery Duty Unpaid) basis. If your purchase is shipping to a DDP destination, no additional fees will be chargeable. If your purchase is sent to a DDU destination all fees upon delivery, including, customs, taxes, and any fees applied by your destination country, are your responsibility.
7.3 Once the placed purchase has assigned, ECCE MEA is unable to amend the address details.
7.4 ECCE MEA is not able to deliver to PO Boxes (including BFPO) or Freight Forwarders.
7.5 Your parcel is insured by us during the time it is in transit and until it is delivered to your chosen address. It is required a signature for every delivery, and the responsibility of the goods is passed to the consignee.
7.6 A confirmation email will show the carriers tracking number, and on the carrier’s website, you may track any of your products.
7.7 We used DHL & UPS carries to deliver your products, and their terms and conditions are applied. For more information, please check carries website.
7.8 Any personalized good takes 4 to 8 weeks to be delivered, and we use the shipment rule, first produced, first delivered.
7.9 When using Express Delivery Services, charges may apply and are subject to availability.
7.10 All shipped Standard purchases and prices are with DHL or UPS.
7.11 Purchases delivered via ground shipping will be added 7 working days. See air delivery exceptions details.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
Before we dispatch your purchase, we may need to confirm your details with your card issuer and verify your billing and shipping addresses.
First-time purchases can only be shipped to the cardholder’s billing address, to avoid delays, please ensure that your billing details are correct and match the address on your credit card statement.
We are unable to deliver to PO Boxes or Freight Forwarders.
Once your shipped purchase was placed, we are unable to make any amendments to the address.

8 - RETURN POLICY
8.1 CANCELLATIONS:
8.1.1 If you are based in the EU under the Consumer Protection (Distance Selling) Regulations 2000 (DSRs), you have the right to cancel your purchase with us, provided you give us written notice within 3 (three) working days of receipt, due to tailored nature of the products. Notice of contract cancellation under the DSRs must be given in writing to Notice of Contract Cancellation, Customer Services or by email to Customer Care.
8.1.2 ECCE MEA, due to the nature of its products, only accepts returns by default, or by size.
8.1.3 In case of size return, the design of the original product cannot be changed.
8.1.4 In the case of a default return, make sure it is adapted to all our Terms & Conditions.
8.1.5 ECCE MEA, due to the characteristics of your personalized data and unique in size and type, are nothing more than monetary returns, but can also be credited to your account, in case of new terms and conditions.

8.2 RETURNS PERIOD:
You have 60 days from receipt of your purchase, to advise us of your intention to return or exchange. You then have a further 14 days to return the goods back to us. Returns outside this period may not be accepted.

8.3 CONDITION OF RETURN:
8.3.1 All ECCE MEA items need to be returned in an unmarked, unused condition with the original packaging including dust bag(s), product authenticity passport and authenticity labels. The branded boxes are considered as part of the product and should be returned in a protective shipping box.
8.3.2 Due to the delicate nature of our products you should try them on a clean and delicate environment, away from any products or conditions that may damage the good. So, shoe soles cannot have any wear and tear marks, try them on a dry, protected surface (e.g., a carpeted surface) and away from any humidity or moisture. Products that are returned without a box, in a damaged box, with marked conditions or missing components such as the dust bag(s), authenticity documents and product care associated will not be accepted, and it will be sent back to the purchaser recipient original address with delivery fees applied.
8.3.3 Any items that have been altered or repaired by an external repair service, without prior and written consent, will not be accepted for a refund or exchange.

8.4 METHOD OF RETURN:
8.4.1 We ask that you use our DHL Express account (No: 961001924) to return any items to us, ECCE MEA is not liable for any products that are not returned in this way.
8.4.2 Items purchased online shall be returned from the same country to which they were delivered. If not, additional fees may be applied, and delivery may not be processed as quickly as usual.
8.4.3 To return an item, please follow the Condition of Return.

8.5 RESTRICTED PRODUCTS:
a) ECCE MEA is unable to accept any returns of personalized detail products due to its nature.
b) We are unable to ship any flammable items by air and must be delivered via ground delivery.

9 - ACCOUNT POLICY
9.1 You will keep a password assigned to you, creating an account, which permits privileged access to this Website and its main features. Your area account is strictly confidential, and you shall not disclose it to any other person. It is prohibited the misuse, abuse, unauthorized or illegal access.
9.2 You cannot attempt to gain unauthorized access to this Website, server, computer systems, networks, password mining, distribute viruses or any other means of hacking, and you will be charged on a criminal offense.
9.3 ECCE MEA may terminate your access and use of any part of this Website at any time without notice. By accessing the Website, you agree that you are legally entitled to make use of the characteristics and features available on the Website. You agree that you will not engage in any activities related to this Website that are contrary to applicable laws or regulations. You may not use this Website for any purpose that is unlawful or prohibited by these legal terms. You will keep a password assigned to you, creating an account, which permits privileged access to this Website and its main features. Your area account is strictly confidential, and you shall not disclose it to any other person. It is prohibited the misuse, abuse, unauthorized or illegal access.

10 - PRIVACY POLICY
10.1 You understand and agree that we receive and store information of you, provide to us when you create an account and fill any online forms on the Website. When required this information may include your email address, name, phone number, address, credit card information, bank information, or other Personal Information.
10.2 When you visit our website, you must accept our cookie policy and our servers automatically record information that your browser sends. This non-personal information data includes information such as your device's IP address, browser type, operating system type and version, language preferences, pages of our Website that you visit, the time spent on those pages, the information you search for on our Website, access times and dates, and other statistics.
10.3 You can access, add to, manage, update and delete specific personal information on your private account. The viewed information may change as the Website changes. Some information may remain in our records after your deletion of such information from your account. We will preserve your information as necessary to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. Personal Information retention shall be removed when period expires.
10.4 Any of the information methods we collect from you can be used to personalize your experience, improve our Website and enhance customer service. Non-Personal Information collected is used only to identify potential cases of abuse and establish statistical information regarding Website usage. This statistical information is not otherwise aggregated in such a way that it would identify any particular user of the system.

Any requests to exercise User rights can be directed to the Owner through the contact details provided in this document. These requests can be exercised free of charge and will be addressed by the Owner as early as possible and always within one month.
a) Privacy of children
We do not knowingly collect any Personal Information from children under the age of 13. If you are under the age of 13, please do not submit any Personal Information through our Website or Service. We encourage parents and legal guardians to monitor their children's Internet usage and to help enforce this Policy by instructing their children never to provide Personal Information through our Website or Service without their permission. However, you will continue to receive essential transactional emails.
10.10 Do Not Track signals

In the event we become aware that the security of the Website has been compromised, or users Personal Information has been disclosed to unrelated third parties, as a result of external activity, including, but not limited to, security attacks or fraud, we reserve the right to take reasonably appropriate measures, including, but not limited to, investigation and reporting, as well as notification to and cooperation with law enforcement authorities. In the event of a data breach, we will make reasonable efforts to notify affected individuals if we believe that there is a moderate risk of harm to the user as a result of the breach or if notice is otherwise required by law. ECCE MEA is not responsible for any direct or indirect damage caused by external websites. The utilization of external links is only authorized if sponsored, support it or in partnership with ECCE MEA and with expressed authorization.
We do not accept any links that support hate, racism, any discriminatory actions, or illegal behavior.
Any affiliate link must have written authorization by ECCE MEA, as a signed contract between parties.

13 - AUCTION
Auction products are ECCE MEA exclusive and unique goods produced over time. ECCE MEA has two models of bidding to purchase our exceptional, one of a kind, products. Two based models are used to bid on an ECCE MEA Special Edition product and are ruled by the following terms and conditions:
13.1 You need to have an active ECCE MEA account to place or send a bid.
a) On a base sealed first-price auction model, it is only allowed 1 (one) bid per customer account.
i. All ECCE MEA account customers may submit email bids to the unique email given on the auction product information.
ii. Bidders do not know other customers bids, so submissions are not adjustable on this model.
iii. The reserve price is always invisible to customers.
b) On a based open ascending price auction model, customers bid openly against one another.
i. Bids are submitted electronically on a particular auction page made for the auctioned product.
ii. Bidders see the last amount proposed and can raise and adjust the bid to their convenience.
iii. The reserve price is always invisible to customers.
c) The highest bidder is informed confidentially through the preferred contact method chosen at the end date of the auction.
d) The winner shows on the private customer account and a charge for the amount will be active.
e) The sale is only validated once payment is made.
f) If the winner of the auction does not pay the product within 24 hours, after the end of the auction, the product will go to the second highest bidder, and successively until the amount is charged.
g) The Special Edition product will follow on DHL Express delivered to the address stated on payment transaction.
h) If the final bid does not reach the reserve price the item remains unsold and ECCE MEA reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify, to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the auction outcome.
i) ECCE MEA reserves the right to verify the validity of the payment and declare it null if used by a customer, which in the opinion of ECCE MEA submits a bid that is not under our T&C.
j) In the event of any dispute, the decision of ECCE MEA is final.

14 GIFT & VOUCHER CARDS POLICY
14.1 Voucher and gift card codes may be used by worldwide residents aged 18 years and over.
14.2 Voucher and gift cards are to be used online.
14.3 Voucher and gift card codes can be bought on our online store or via your private account or offered by a third party and there is no cash alternative.
14.4 ECCE MEA will cancel the value of a voucher or gift card if we fail to receive payment from the purchaser's bank. Further action may be taken where the fraudulent use of a credit card is suspected.
14.5 Voucher cards are only valid for a single transaction; the amount remaining is not exchangeable for cash or any other alternative and will be automatically forfeited. Voucher cards have an expiration date issued on the voucher and electronically.
14.6 Gift cards are valid for more than one transaction, and you may use the remaining value on another purchase. Any balance left remains as a credit on your account to spend in the future. Please, notice that the use of it will pend the remaining amount to your account and is not transferable. Gift cards have an expiration date of 12 months of the issue date.
14.7 Voucher and gift cards cannot be used together with any other promotion.
14.8 You can check your remaining balance of a gift card by login in on your ECCE MEA account.
14.9 An ECCE MEA Gift Card cannot be redeemed or exchanged for cash, and the maximum value that can be uploaded onto an ECCE MEA Gift Card is €5000.
14.10 Voucher and gift cards have an expiration date, and the amount will be automatically forfeited overdue.
14.11 ECCE MEA reserves the right to change terms and conditions of Voucher and Gift cards without prior notice.
14.12 Reis & Reis Lda. is not liable for any loss of any lost codes except for any liability which cannot be excluded by law. This also applies with the wrong utilization of any device, technical error, omission, interruption, deletion, defect, delay in operation or transmission, communications, network failure, theft or unauthorized access.
14.13 A ECCE MEA Gift Card should be treated like cash and will not be replaced when used without the consent of the ECCE MEA Gift Card holder, lost, damaged or stolen, and will be considered null or void if tampered.
14.14 If for any reason the voucher or gift card code does not work, including due to infection by computer virus, bugs, unauthorized intervention, fraud, technical failures or any causes beyond the control of the Reis & Reis, we cannot be considered liable. If we believe an improper conduct, security issue, fairness or integrity of a voucher or gift card, Reis & Reis reserves the right in its sole discretion to disqualify any individual who forges with the entry process, take any action that may be available, and to cancel, terminate, modify or suspend the voucher or gift card code.
14.15 ECCE MEA reserves the right to verify the validity of any Voucher Code and declare it null and void if used by a customer, which in the opinion of ECCE MEA has been forged, any person who submits a voucher/gift card that is not under our T&C.
14.16 In the event of any dispute, the decision of ECCE MEA is final.
14.17 By entering any voucher/gift card and accepting the T&C, you agree to allow ECCE MEA, and Reis & Reis Consulting to use your details for marketing purposes.
